I woke up early, packed my stuff in the backpack and put my mattress in place. We would have room for breakfast the church offered. Everything was free but you pay five to ten euros in a collection box.
The sun had burned me on my calves so I realized it was better using long pants this day.
I reached Villa Franca at about 15:00. The Hostel was an old former hospital. When I arrived there was no one who "took care" of it. Late in the afternoon came a lady who wrote me in and took charge. This bed cost 6 €. I where thinking of taking some money out of an ATM but there was no cash-dispenser available until Burgos. Burgos is located about 32 km further on. I was hoping that my cash would last until then.
Here was a description of where there was a shop. A so-called "Super Mercado". I found it behind a bar. It was a room of perhaps 25 square meters with a rather limited range of groceries. I found, however, a spray protecting me for sunburn and suntan lotion "15".
I found a bar close to the Hostel where I could get a nice dinner.
